Rollin' Over and some other stuff
As of right now, I am still about 7 weeks behind on my weekly updates, but if I don't start now, then I'll perpetually be behind. So, here I am.
Today is Super Bowl Sunday. Is that really of any consequence in our household? Um, nope. It's barely February, but it's already in the 80s here. Ugh. So disappointing. We missed the great winter storm of the year back in Texas last week, too. It's just too early to have the A/C on! But I digress.
Today we achieved some milestones worth noting and remembering. Soren is 3.5 months old, just over 15 weeks. Today Stephan witnessed him rolling over both ways! We aren't really sure how long he's been doing it, but he was caught in the act today. I personally think that he will do a little better when he has more control over this, especially in bed. Although, it may temporarily keep him awake more.
I haven't been able to get out very much on my own because Soren still eats every 2 hours or so. Some days he will do a 3 hour stretch, but it's not too common yet. At night he does pull some longer stretches, but that isn't even consistent. So, it has been nearly impossible for me to go too far during the day without him. But today, Stephan sent me out for my first mani/pedi since Soren was born...and while I was gone, Soren actually drank a full bottle! This is only the 3rd attempt at giving him one for a meal. The 1st went okay; the 2nd went HORRIBLY. Stephan isn't nearly as thrilled as I am, but I think it's just another sign of his maturing. (Not that I am trying to rush things, though.) I'm just happy to be having a little more freedom.
Eisley and Soren are both still sick. Soren isn't too bad, but Eisley seems to be just dragging this out. It is so sad to hear her coughing at night. At least her days aren't too bad. Ah...hoping that her antibiotics will do the trick after nearly 2 weeks of waiting it out.
