Due Date!

While I could have written earlier this evening, I suppose I figured that I would just be sure there was no late breaking news.  Stephan seems to think that I am rubbing off on this little guy already--in that he is going to be late. Eisley was late too, so maybe he is on to something. :-)

Even though our son won't be arriving on his due date, he did accompany us on a very lovely day, snug in my tummy. Eisley, Grandma and I took care of a little shopping/returns. Eisley and I had fun trying on nail polish at Sephora and then hand lotions at Bath and Body Works. Then we had some lunch at Jason's Deli. Eisley actually did very well, despite it being much past her usual lunch time.  I did use the promise of their free ice cream to keep her focused, though, which was rather effective since we were sitting right in front of the machine. When we came home, Eisley was showing some signs that she was, shall we say, on the edge.  So, she got in bed.  After serenading us loudly from inside of her room, she actually quieted down and went to sleep. For two and a half hours. Now that was a due date gift!  She slept until nearly 5:00, though, which is never ideal, but who cares. We had a fun day.

After dinner, we took our walk to the playground. I haven't had a ton of regular surges today, but I am having some, so that is still a good sign.  I think my brother must be praying extra so that his nephew will share his birthday. I suppose it's a little bit of a tradition, since Rawie shares his birthday with our Uncle Michael.  Guess we shall see if the 20th is "the" day.

In addition to receiving a few other bits of good news today, we topped off the day with a movie that Stephan has been dying to see...Iron Man 2.  Perhaps these action movies will help encourage our little boy to come into our world!
